September 1, 2006 Mobile Enterprise Magazine
The September issue of Mobile Enterprise Magazine included an article regarding mobile enterprise email in which Jim Judge was quoted. “Less than 10 percent of business email has been fully mobilized. Only in certain functional areas, such as field engineering and sales, do you see larger penetrations. Many mobile workers use remote hotspots or their hotel rooms to get access to their email.” The article also featured RIM and Cisco management. Read the article...

Oct. 12, 2005—GREENSBORO, NC, and BERKELEY, CA —Cambridge Consulting Solutions and Dr. Rashi Glazer today announce a collaboration to develop additional features and applications for the Cambridge 5-Stage Segmentation Model for Competitive Positioning.
“Cambridge has developed unique methods for identifying marketing organization resource gaps that will generate serious discussion in the industry about aligning marketing people, programs and resources with strategy implementation in a dynamic and competitive marketplace,” said Dr. Glazer.
According to Cambridge President James Judge: “Dr. Glazer brings breadth and depth of marketing strategy and implementation, so we’re fortunate to have him adopt the 5-Stage Model approach within his portfolio. We’ve used it successfully for several years with our clients and look forward to taking it to the next level with Dr. Glazer’s assistance.”
Cambridge developed the 5-Stage Model for marketing organizations within technology businesses. Whereas traditional analytical models might be based on demographic, psychographic, behavioral or geographic segmentation, the Cambridge model uses business stages—encompassing the growth path from startup to market leader.
For each particular growth stage, the model shows how to achieve an optimum resource mix resulting in a marketing organization that is appropriately staffed, sized and focused.
The model is based on empirical data from several marketing research projects and a survey of over 240 companies, marketing professionals and executives. An available whitepaper abstract thoroughly describes the model, its development and its applications—“Focusing Marketing Resources: The Challenge for Senior Marketing and Sales Executives.”
Dr. Rashi Glazer, Professor, Walter A. Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, is the Co-Director of the Berkeley Center for Technology and Marketing, has an MBA and Ph.D. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and from 1982-1989 was on the faculty at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business.
